I have a Pyramid Weekender awning which has a tear along the part of the stitching where the awning fabric (it's lightweight) joins the actual "bag" (which stays on the side of the van), I need to mend the tear but not too sure what would be the best thing.  Can't stitch it myself as it's too thick and don't really want to use duct tape!  Anyone got any ideas?

Hi, wished i lived nearer i used to mend tents/ awnings ect for a living well  anything i could fix that they asked, at Mitchells camping shop in horbury, could have mended it for you.Sorry..........

I would enquire at your local awning suppliers as most will know where you can get it repaired locally or where to send it.
