Hi all, we have just returned from our 2 week holiday in our caravan that we bought this year. Everything went fine but we were unable to get the hot water going in the van. We have a carver cascade 2 and although the green light was on on the panel the water never heated up. I did notice that everytime we turned the taps on we had to wait for air to leave the system even though we ran it through before turning the heater on. Is it possible that a problem with the pump could be causing the problem?
The air problem is caused by water syphoning back into the aquaroll, this would suggest the non-return valve in the water heaters plastic cold water inlet fitting is sticking open.
The water not heating could be for several reasons, first then, what year is it?

Gary sorted our Carver Cascade 2, he is 'THE' man when it comes to water and heaters, i removed the heater and travelled up to him and stood and watched a craftsman at work, highly recommended and very thorough,
So Sarah, sorry to miss your email, I'm still getting around 40-50 a day though and some do get missed!
The fact it's 92 could suggest it's a control switch fault rather than the burner module itself, there is an easy way of testing the switch but it's not so easy to explain, perhaps it's better then to send it and probably the module for testing.
If however you want to test yourself you can ring me and I'll explain, if you can get through? best time is week days 9am until around 10:30am
