hi there, recently while travelling home from a holiday in scotland i suffered the misfortune of not 1 but 2 blow-outs,As a result the shredded tyre ripped a large hole in the floor of my unit,So when i eventually got the unit home i proceded to repair the floor,I took out the fixtures and fittings and noticed a damp patch on the side wall,So decided to repair that at the same time,I took off the internal panel and found the damp to be more than expected,It had also rotted the support rails fixed to the aliminium body so replaced those aswell, and also as i took off the internal wall board it damaged the polystyrene insulation and that too was also wet with damp so removed this too,Now my problem is that i cannot get hold of any polystyrene sheets that is 20mm thick the standard thickness is 25mm thick, this is no good as the wall board will stick out by 5mm from the next sheet, does any-one know where i can get polystyrene sheets 20mm thick from
any suggestions would be most welcome
i have tried most diy outlets where i live

a builders yard should sell it for wall insulation.

Can you buy 10mm thick sheets and bond two together, I`m sure I`ve seen 10mm sheets somewhere. Just a thought.

Springvale EPS make the polystyrene for caravan manufacturers. Could phone them and ask if you struggle locally. They have in the past done door sales from the Glossop site. (They also have a site in Newcastle).

Minimum order is 5 boards. £41.95 + P&P

That makes it expensive if you only have a small area to repair.
