Thanks Wizard, yes it does help though has also raised a few more questions ! The floor really does not look as if it could have anywhere thick enough to accomodate that much polystyrene. But we will (or he will !) inspect it again when it's daylight & there aren't 500 other things to do... at any rate he did not know there was polystyrene in there so that does change things so a rethink is called for.
The caravan we have is an old ABI Marauder & I think it's 1989.
Sorry tracyee - I seem to be inadvertedly hi-jacking your thread so I'll shove off now ! Hope you get yours all fixed up ok with a little (or a lot) of help from the other folks
gees your confusing me now! by an odd coincidence the guy who i phoned about the shower corner(yes honestly!") phones last night at 9.30ish buissnes must be slow! and itold him about the floor prob and he said 80 to 90 pounds and would phone me back as he was finaly in our area. yet again he didnt phone i must be the last port of call when work is quiet. the dip in the floor is quite deep, and v spongey. ive had a look at the sites recomeneded by you lovely lot plus the all in one glue off ebay and emailed the guy selling it about how long lasting etc. im v proud of the van, and like most of us with probs are v upset when we find probs, ( keep looking at it out of the window and sitting in it so much that my pain in the bottom youngest lad 18 follows me asking what im up too whats best does it work, or just mask the prob, and how long does it last. running out of money and want my pride and joy to last as long as poss
whats best does it work, or just mask the prob, and how long does it last. running out of money and want my pride and joy to last as long as poss
What's best ? imo floor delamination glue . Does it work ? yes very well . Good write-up Here Or just mask the prob . It fixes the problem . How long does it last ? I would like to think it would last the life of the caravan .
Hope the above answers help ( i'm not meaning to be rude in my replys , just trying to give the clearest answers i can ).
hi thanx again all! wizzard what do you think of that one shot delamination stuff thats on ebay as recomeneded by another member, do you recon its as good as the other stuffalso where can i get suitabe syringes and masks. wizzard youve been v helpfull i know your not being rude, thanks again all xxx
Hi Tracy , i can only go on what others have said about the different delamination kits , so far no one has said , they didn't work , or that they had problems using the kits / one shot bottles . It does say on the ebay add that the one shot should be used in summer ( warm weather ) , as we are begining to head towards winter i would say you would be better off buying a two part kit that comes with the syringes . Masks wise , i don't think you will be able to buy a mask over the counter that would protect you from the resin smell . Best i can suggest is to email either of the ebay sellers selling kits and ask their advice .
