Hi i have a carver cascade fitted into a lunar clubman 1995 which at first would not spark but green light stayed on , i spoke to Gary and took out the module cleaned it up connected just to elec and it sparked up reconnecet and way it went turned off and on again and everything fine. Went to the van the next day and nothings took off again cleaned again and everything seems very clean put back again and still nothing i did check the blue wire into connector and got 12 volts so switch seems ok turned off on and switch seems to be working fine. I wonder if the gas valve is stuck and if it was would that stop unit sparking up?? as nothing now Can anyone help please
Get the module out again and ready to test then give me a ring on the mobile, being a 95 module there could be a simple fix but I'm not saying what it is on a forum!
The reason is a guy rings today asking about a Cascade mk1, he's bought a manual off ebay and on the back it says ring me for spares and repair.
Too right right it does? some leech has downloaded a free copy of my website and has the gaul then to ask £2 bloody 60 for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Notify Ebay Gary, tell them its been coppied from you,and they will remove it.
------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.

Hi i did look again and have a voltage tester have power to the otherside of connector onto printed circuit board but nothing to fuse i did try and bridge quick but nothing and no power so not sure if that helps the printed circuit board looks good no hot spots or burns that i can see Dave, i will owe you a drink when your down at brothers or if you let me know where he is will put one through the door for you
It maybe something else then but still ring me tomorrow when you ready and it should not take long
Normally I don't answer calls over the weekend, today I set aside to fit the new Whale water heater to my own van so was 'at work' and will be tomorrow.
Much time today was taken up modifying the wiring loom and switch mounting to aid 'after market' fitting, that done it looks like the swap is going to be very easy indeed. It only took me about an hour late this afternoon to remove the Cascade and get the Whale into position over pipework etc, lack of daylight stopped me but I reckon two or perhaps three hours will have it done.
This of course also means I have a Cascade GE for sale, it had a complete overhaul including new tank and burner module about 2yrs ago and of course will come with a decent warranty from me.
As for the Ebay cretin, I do have his ebay name and email address and I do fully intend to inform ebay, last time they kicked the guy off.
What upsets me though is the brass necked cheek, what gives them the idea that they can sell something that they obtained freely?

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
I do now you mention it Michael, about the time I had my first problem.
It's not been going long so I've just emailed nearly all the previous buyers from 'her' feedback telling them of the 'scam'...that should hopefully ruffle a few feathers
Hi Gary and thanks for getting back, as for the bloke and the scam, everyone has to earn a few bob , but Not off anouthers blokes back when he is trying to help people with something free , Not On.. I will ring about 10 45 if thats ok and will be in the van so hope you can help sort this with me cheers mate Dave
Dave, just to update and to check, I sent the module back 1st class yesterday so you should have it?
A very strange fault whereby the timer circuit would work correctly occasionally, infact it worked a few times when I first tried it but then stopped.
Mostly though and what the fault actually was, it would stay in the fail mode instead of as it should, resetting when switched off and back on.
