We have bought a 2001 Lunar Lexon 640 and it is fitted with a truma heater and fan system. I can't get it to work on either electric or gas. Biggest problem is I can't even work out how to get the front off the fire to explore further. I have all the manuals and stuff but nothing seems to tell me how to actually get the front off
I have tried pushing, pulling, twisting... everything I can think of. I have been able to get the knobs off and the fan does work. There is a battery pack somewhere but I can't find or access it. I have some experience of domestic gas fires but this one has left me stumped........
it should pull out at the bottom then lift up to remove,it somtimes it is quite stiff at the bottom to pull out.the battry pack for the igniter could be at the bottom on the right.
------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
Pete.
I wouldn't bother trying to get the front off the fire, you might not get it back on properly, they are very flimsy. If it won't work on gas or electric its probably an electrical fault in the controller or 12volt power supply.

It will be a Truma 3002 fire and these fronts pull off 2 clips left and right about 2 inches down from the top either side.
The problem is they can be very stiff or for the opposite reason, you may find using a torch through the grill that the top edge has been screwed to prevent it falling off?!
Once pulled forward you can pull off and disconnect the loom to the fan, the control knob should come off the rod connecting it to the gas valve with the fire as you then lift the front clear.
You will find the ignition module attached to the base plate, there's a flap to slide up to expose the AA battery
