ok just wen tot take van out of storage ready for xmas, now all seamed fine but i notice a different colour on the ceiling dark lines, looked closer and it was ice and they all over the ceiling where the battens are not inbetween really weird never see it before, yes its been very cold here -9 at times where the van is stored.
is there anything can be done to defrost the van besides using it which will cause more condensation and more ice in the end..
its not wet or damp inside dry van as they say, its like taking a lolly out of the freezer and then the outta wrapper frosts over its only on the ceiling where the pannels meet the battens in the gap, so the battens are transfering the cold from the tin roof into the van, and what little damp air there is inside froze to it, everything in the van is fine but i need to stop this from happening and crystalls all tey do is draw more air in from out side, as vans are not sealed units are they. got a bottle water in there as well that is still liquid but frostedup on the outside of the bottle.
weird i know but now its out in the sun persay i think that my help but the back pannel outside is solid ice sheet i had to break off.
well the only way i could fix the icey problem was to take out of storage stick ona secure residental pitch no cost as the storaged is closed over the hols, just paid for ehu for a week and stuck a 3kw fire in it, that should warm the thing up and defreeze the water pipes, as i found they had a bit of water in not alot the bit you cannot get out so no busted pipes. be noce and warm ready for the xmas hols..
