Anyrecommendations as to brand of waterproof adhesive tape suitable for temporary sealing of roof lights etc?

You could try McNett Tenacious Sealing and Repair tape I have fixed my awning with this stuff I do not know what it would be like on a roof light, but after 3 year the rip in the awning roof still holds.

cheap hot glue gun,did my Daughters,lasted a full season till she got a new one.

i found that the brown packing tape is good stuff,i can mark the paint if left too long.

find local music /dj shop and get roll of gaffer tape  about £3.00  i mended my cracked soil pipe with it 3 years ago as a temporary measure  lol

use a better quality duct tape, this is water proof (used for sealing ducting on occasion) and will stay stuck, and come off when you want it to.
