Hi , I often use a Whale Aquasource to connect water supply directly to the van ,we usually try to get a fully serviced pitch. This means that the water into the van(Bailey Senator Arizona)is usually unfiltered.Is this likely to create problems ,if so what can I do about it?

Perhaps I should add that I mean could it cause problems with the caravan not me!!

nope, the filter is more there to kiull bugs than anything else, if your fine with drinking it, it wont do the van any harm.

I've just ordered a strainer for our Shurflo diaphragm pump.  You can get grit in water supplies so I am hoping that this will provide some protection for the pump.You can get inline strainers - have a look on e-Bay.

There is no filter in the van,the filter is submersed in the Aquaroll.

Our Arizona (2002) had an inline filter in one of the cupboards - can't remember exactly where now, but obviously close to the water input.

shurflo have an inline filter that goes onto water hose we use them at work and they do work.ebay item 170420944340.

to help in saving you lot a bit of money (the above solutions are viable) , BUT if you have a look at the end of your sink tap spout there is a dual flat head screw , this contains several layers of mesh which act as as the water filter with great effect,

Many thanks for all of your suggestions. We have a filter jug for drinking water so we don`t drink water from the tap.
I was more concerned with possible damage to the water heater but I think that may be more to do with whether the water is hard??

if you are concerned by scale in the heater produced by hard water you add white wine vinegar at the start of the season and then flush out as with cleaning the water system,i use milton for this once a year.just done ours today ready for the off.this information is in the bailey hand book.
