Hello Peter, the lock I have is the Full Stop, Excalibur and what I need to do is clear the ALKO receiver of it's 'security' item without being ripped off by ALKO or the dealership (I am sure you understand this!)
Anyway, if the pdf you have will help me it would be much appreciated. My address is damian dot ashman at ntlworld dot com
Thanks.

It will be interesting to know if it works as my understanding is that AlKo have fitted the bung to prevent the fitting on non AlKo licensed products. AlKo actually took one company to court to prevent them selling a generic lock.
My new caravan did not have any security device fitted to the ALKO receiver. It only had the yellow bung which is fitted to prevent muck from getting in. This unscrews with a normal screwdriver.
I purchased a new lozenge(thats the name for the red bit) from ALKO and transferred the registration to my new van. Cheaper than buying a whole new lock.
PS anyone want to buy a lozenge No 1 that fits a Bailey Senator Series 5.
Peter, I have not received the e-mail. damian.ashman at ntlworld.com (change the 'at' for the 'at' sign, with no spaces)
David, ALKO did stop Bulldog from selling their 'Max' lock because it could only be used with the ALKO receiver. At £80 the Excalibur was a good buy because it has a part which means you do not have to use the ALKO receiver (but I want to). The bung is obviously there to protect their profits by preventing me using my caravan as I want to. A little while ago I did see a thread on some forum or other telling how to remove the bung using a tap and die set. I can't find the tread anymore and would not be surprised if it has been removed following pressure from ALKO.
J&T, my van definitely has a thing which looks like a locking wheel nut inside the receiver. I wish it just had the yellow plastic thing!

Thats strange, I wonder why my van did not. I can only assume that the dealer removed it, but it was never discussed. Even when I purchased the new Lozenge from ALKO they did not try and sell me the removal tool and they knew it was for a new van as they use your chassis number for the registration details.
Alko only fitted them for a while, after they settled their dispute with the 'Bulldog Max' manufacturer they went back to fitting the yellow dust seals.
Their arguement is that they invested heavily in the idea of the 'receiver' so don't want other manufacturers benefitting from it.
My new Pegasus has the yellow bung (I checked and dealer confirmed it) .Collecting the Pegasus at the weekend. It comes with Al Ko lock, so I will sell the other one.
Our current van had the metal bung in it when we bought it.
When I registered the lock they sent an adaptor to remove it-which I still have, but there are different ones.
