Just got our caravan and the only obvious thing missing is a strut to hold the locker door open. It's not essential as it quite happily stays open but I can image a sudden gust of wind knocking onto my head!

Any ideas where you can get replacements from? It's an Elddis EX2000 cyclone and I guess it was only a simple prop open strut.

Have you tried a breakers yard? There's one in Blaenavon, South Wales, they do a lot of business on the web. I think they're called Blaenavon Caravan Breakers. I've been up there a few times and its an aladdin's cave (or elephants graveyard) of parts. Think scrappy for cars. Its all under cover so none of the parts are left to rust. They also supply new parts.

Thanks to Michael - the first link is the one in Blaenavon that I go to. (I liked the fact that they also described themselves as an Aladdin's cave - they're not wrong!)

Try www.comdir.co.uk as they are stockists of Camloc gas struts, which seem to be the most regularly used manufacturer for these. They should be able to find a close alternative or even an exact match.
