My comment was in regards to the fact it works fine to the point of blowing hot air to begin with, unlike some of the earlier comments. Obviously not totally fine.

The fan motor isn't silent but it's not screeching.

Thanks for the advice Gary, I will attempt to remove and clean down. I am struggling to imagine how as there are two drawers above my fire and I can't get a good look at how i'm going to remove it. See a mirror on a pole moment coming on!!!

My first comment was accurate but only said in fun!

From what you say though, the only easy way is to first remove the fire, simply enough as no flue pipe involved but still involves disconnecting the gas supply, so you may feel the need for expert help testing on reconnection.

Hi I am having a problem with my blown air heating as when I put it on nothing is happening the light on the control comes on and select the thing you want but nothing happens the light just flashes I.have been told that the pcb board may have blown.
But I have also heard that it could be something as simple as a thermal fuse on the board that has gone any advice on this matter would be much appreciated

It could be as simple as the battery is low and needs charging, however quite often the control board does need attention. Equally often the reason for board failure is a worn, probably noisy, fan motor overloading the circuit.
