I spent hours trawling the net looking for a supplier local to me selling 3mm ply for a small repair to my 'van.

In the end I bought it from a model shop. I paid £8-50 for a 4' x 1' piece. Stupidly expensive if you work out a 4' x 8' sheet at that price.

To be honest I was so fed up looking that I just paid it anyway!!

Perhaps a search for suppliers of boat building materials might throw someting up.

Try your local builders merchant as they can source it from specialist timber merchants who do not deal with the general public,as an alternative have a look atWPB ply which is commonly available and I believe the next quality down from marine as that may be suitable for your requirements perhaps

its called WBP doug ,( Weather and Boil Proof),not Knottless as marine ply is,and to honest it warps like hell if not fixed to proper batons closely together

You don't say where you are based but if you can find a depot for "EDENS" they are a trade supplier of all types of board products and thet sell ply down to 1.5mm thickness from stock, if you ppost your location i will try to find your nearest
