Hi all, just got myself an Abbey 215 gts and have most things sorted out, except the carver heater. Runs on elec no probs, fires up on Gas o/k but while on gas the fanmaster does not put out any air through the "eye balls" as it does on elec. Should it !!. Thanks for any info. (newbe vanman)

Not sure here? you are saying the gas fire lights, but is the main burner lighting? not just the pilot burner?

You should be able to hear the fire gently roaring when the main burner lights

Hi Gary. yes the gas fire lights and gives off good heat through the top of fire vents but not through the ventmaster, the lights just keep flashing on the control unit, if I go to elec everything seems fine !!..

The Fanmaster self checks when you switch it on, this is the fast flash, if all ok the light stops flashing and the operation selected begins, if a fault is found the light continues to flash but more slowly.
What I don't understand is why it apparently works on mains electric heating but not just the fan for gas heating, the self check if a fault is found will not allow it to work on any setting?
However, if you as you say it works on electric, then switch off the mains supply to the heater, and use the two electric heating settings with the gas, (doing it this way your left with the fan which is the same as the two gas heat setting).
