I'm asuming you have tried charging the battery via the charger and its still going flat?

I think you need to use a multi meter tester, to check if the charger is outputting current.

Failing that take the new battery off and use an external charger to charge it up. If it charges and holds the charge then you can deduce that its the battery charger and not the battery at fault.

But I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me will be along shortly to point you in the right direction.

Easiest way to get a rough idea of charger output and battery voltage is to use one of these, also available elsewhere (including Aldi on occasions).

Just a thought but it is the correct type of battery isn't it, I mean a leisure battery?

I read somewhere that other batteries, like car batteries are not suitable for caravan use since they go flat quickly.

Also depending on the Amp Hour rating, and what you are drawing will affect it's charge. Are you using a TV off it? That will drain a battery faster than anything.

From this description I would suspect the battery is at fault possibly a short in the plates. my battery went the same way

Not unknown for a new battery, get it tested properly

We had the same problem, ours turned out to a faulty battery.

Even without the charger working, the battery should probably last longer than that.

I flattened two batteries in two days once. Then I realised the water pump was running all the time. Can't really remember why, I think there was an airlock in the system.
