On arriving home last weekend, we opened the van door to find broken glass all over the floor. At some point during the journey, the vertical glass pane next to the hob (presumably a heatshield between the hob & doorway) had shattered. I don't think anything could have come into contact with it so assume it was due to a shock loading from one of West London's finest potholes......
Does anyone know if & where a replacement can be bought? I'm inclined to think that a piece of toughened glass (of a matching thickness & cut to the right size) would suffice, but would welcome any similar experiences out there.
ask here, they do not sell to the public but give them all the details including any numbers on the cooker and can give part number detail for your glass.then you can order through your dealer.
i was told i needed an ongoing account of not less than £100 per year when i rang before, failing this to buy through a dealer. had many parts from them including cooker lids and hinges, stickers ect. but always through the dealership.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
I spoke to Leisurespares today to chase my order of hinges that are on back order.
Asked them about selling to to general public and they said they are quite happy to do it as long as the order is over £10.
