Hi,
I have a problem with a Thetford Fridge. One night the blue light started flashing and the just went out. From that point on the fridge hasn't worked. The LCD display is blank with no life. I checked the fuses and MCB but all are OK. Does anyone know of anything else to check and/or the course of action to take?

PS I tried replacing the LCD display but with no success

i would give thetford a call on this one, see if one of their engineers can assist. If all your fuses are ok then the fault i would think is with the fridge electrics. You could check where the fridge actually plugs in to the mains. Most vans have a normal 3 pin plug arrangement hidden somewhere near the unit, worth a look to see if the fuse has gone there?

Hi, did you notice an error code number on the LCD before it went off? if you did then look in the fridge handbook and it may tell you what the problem is. However if you have no disply at all it could be the printed circut board in the back of the fridge. Thetford are the only people who will carry this part, i think. I have just had to get mine replaced at a cost of £75. It was only 18 months ago when it broke last time but the warranty covered it then. Good Luck

If you have no display on the fridge then you have lost the 12 volt feed, this needs reinstating before the fridge will work on any system, you will have to trace the fault in the 12 volt feed, fuses connections etc, when you have got a display then if there's a fault you will get a fault code which will give you an idea of the problem.

Hi Wizard9956   help please, sorry for coming on this post but had to get info. As tryed on 1 i put on and only had guys saying not legal or words to that affect.

Hi we have an Elddis 350/2 and the battery in in the gas locker.
I Want to add a new bat box for the new 110AH bat.
The box is the one with connectors in lid that fits on battery term.
Then there are connectors on outside front of bat box, that i want to connect a mobile solar panel to, when on a rally.
And add a few 12v sockets inside as well.

Any ideas guys please.
