We are having a problem with the battery in our idm4 alarm. The battery is new and when tested away from the caravan is holding its charge fine. When placed in the alarm it drains in a couple of days. This is without 'setting' the alarm - so the alarm is not going off. The alarm is NOT connected to the caravan battery (however van battery is in good condition) so no interference from rest of van electrics. What could be causing the drain? How can we find out? All help appreciated as we are a bit stuck!! Thanks

Hi Annegor,
it still could be the battery, i would have the battery tested if i was you, because out of the alarm the battery is under no load so will hold its charge for a while. Even with the alarm off it still will draw a small amount from the battery
