Hi
We have had some water coming in at the front fixed window. We want to take the metal beading off above the window as we think this is where the water is coming in. Any advice on how to do this?

Go to the fit-it club site all the info you need is there.
www.fixeditclub.com
Or http://www.1carpc.co.uk/wcdr/index.htm which is very good

I've just done the same on our Monza. It's quite simple. Just unscrew all the window retaining screws - usually three pairs along the bottom and one pair either side. This will allow you to swing the window forward. NB The top of the window is hinged as all the other windows - you could specify opening front windows so making them fixed only saved them the cost of the opening stays!

The trim has a rubber surround and is held in place with staples. Ours had all rusted away. Pull it off carefully. Note that in the corners there are shaped pieces to support the bends, don't lose them.

I used marine sealant to replace it all - Sikaflex - as it remains flexible much better than most other things.
