Hi all our Welsh Vanners,

Finally found somewhere in South Wales who repairs Awnings. There doesnt seem to be a website, but ive rung them and theyll repair my minor stiching prob on one corner while im there.

hi nigel129,are they expensive to repair,minor damage to awnning rail bead,let us know if you can.

I once took a friends awning to the cobblers to get an opened seam restitched. Cost about a fiver !

Hoping to get to Newport on Friday, or early next week, will post the outcome, and find out what else they do, alterations etc.

We used to have a very old firm of cobblers and saddler shop in our home town, but was forced out of business by the likes of Timpsons, who can only just about use a pot of glue.

I notice there are no updates on this, so thought I'd add my experience.....

Well, I can report that Emlyn Canvas & Cordage Co Ltd are still in business at the address above.

I telephoned in advance - popped down and they completed the repair, while I waited (a simple one - stitching between roof of awning and awning rail bead was coming apart).

I won't say how much, but repair was very, very reasonable!!!!

Highly recommended.

I have used Cardiff Tent Services in the past. Always found them very good even for things that they would it normally do, eg car seat repairs.
