Our Bailey Pageant suits our requirements down to the ground and we don't want to change it BUT cleaning the carpets every time we use it is no longer funny . Has anybody cut out their fitted carpet and fitted lamainate. if so, is it a DIY job( we are quite handy) and if not, are there any recommendations for getting it done in the North- West (Merseyside) area.
I have taken the carpets out of the last 2 caravans we have owned and replaced not with laminate but vinyl. Much more practical than carpet or laminate. It's a pretty easy if fiddly job but well worth doing.
take care with the weight issue on a laminate floor, just lift a box at the DIY and you see what i mean, vinyl much better.we bought a full length runner carpet for ours and fitted this over the top.like it lots and easy to clean. it cost £40.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

Thats a very good point. It laminate weighs a ton. Most of the cheaper stuff doesn't like water much either.
Stick on laminate effect tiles is what I'm going to use when I replace our caravan carpet.
My daughter did her living room and bathroom a few months ago with packs of tiles from poundland and it looks fantastic.
