My caravan is fitted with a rubber seal on the outer edge of awning rail and both edges on all the finishing strips, when i re-seal can these seals be left off, as i have noticed other caravans do not have them fitted.

If you meen the infill strip that comes in differant colours I would not advice it it also helps to stop water getting in through the screw holes that fixes the rail,and also looks far better than screw head showing.

Pete, No not the centre infill strips the ones on both edges of the strip.

If its the blade trim like the one here and you have removed it you will need another form of sealant like W4 mastic sealant strip or Sikaflex 512.
