With so many things such as mobile phones and SatNavs needing charging, I am thinking about installing some permanent USB charging points into our caravan so we can keep things charged while away.
I was thinking of having it connected to the caravans battery, so there isn't a hookup requirement.
Has anyone made any similar installations into their van? What would people recommend?
That’s like what we have though I think we paid less either on Amazon or play.com.
On our Eldis caravan we also needed a conversion from 2 pin 12 volt to cigar socket.
We also have an extension that will take 4 in to one which was about 1.99 from Aldi last summer - thanks to another rallyer who picked up for us! Its brilliant in the car as then we can charge more than one DS or MP3 / camera batteries!
If you use EHU when on site, I would suggest a computer USB hub (a powered one), these are relatively cheap on ebay and can give you up to 8 ports or so. You can still use them to charge devices without having to plug it into a computer, and then if you do ever use a laptop in the van you can use it that way to connect things to it :)
