I have been reading various posts on resealing the awning rail and think I should do this to mine as I have a small patch of damp in the front passenger side under the seat locker. But the front metal strip ( above the windows) looks suspect as it appears that this has been repaired before as there is a slight difference in the wall board on the inside of the van at the front where in bends round.plus the mastic isnt in a neat state ( below the standatds of what a tradesman would do)
In the gas locker itself there are old water stains on the underneath of the window self plus through the winter/ bathtime it lets in water through ther door ( new rubber trim has been fitted to the door)
Over the past few yrs we have had the van sitted and left the awning on for up to 6 months at a time so could all the extra wear been a problem to the awaning rail ???
