Just bought a 1974 Thomson Mini Glen and was chuffed to bits till i arrived home and did a thorough look through all the cupboards only to find there is a pipe missing to the cooker and the open end of a pipe where a fridge had been fitted at some point and also that there is nowhere at all for a leisure battery  !!!! although there is a fuse box and main electric hook-up point plus 3 points inside the van , ok i can cap off the fridge point and get the hob connected safely  but where the heck was the leisure battery fitted if at all as i see nothing.....helpppppppppppppppppp tears are close

Hi Twinky. Not into caravans now, but I know someone who had one of these diddy vans when they were new. Believe it or not, when these were made there were NO leisure batteries, fridges or electric hook-ups. It all ran off gas. Yes - even the lights. If you hunt around in the cupboards you may even find the pipes left in place and cut off.
