Hi, Just a bit of help neede please, we have a 2010 Bailey ranger GT60 and the door is sticking. It started just a bit when we first got it but now its really bad where the whole caravan shakes when trying to open the door.

I've just been to put some things in ready for this weekend but couldn't even open it at all!!!!! I felt like I would break something if i pulled any harder. OH finally got it open but he wasn't too happy with the force he had to use. It seems like the catch it sticking, not that it needs oiling if you understand what i mean.

I'm sure i've seen something already on here about this but the search button is out of action.

Hi, is your door lock brand Hartel, we have had exactly the same thing with ours.  It was always worse when the caravan was level, unable to open the door from inside as well as out.  Funnily enough we have had ours today fixed under warranty.  Hubby took to the dealer and watched him fix it.  The engineer had to remove the whole lock and take into the workshop and clean the gunge inside and file down bit by bit, he refitted no less than 8 times before getting it just right.  The lock now feels positive when locking and unlocking and now opens without any tugging/pulling.  Suggest that you book yours in to get looked at as it is probably not an easy fix and you will get it done under warranty.
