I'm about to replace the side marker light on my 1995 ABI Dawnstar caravan and wonder what sealant to use. I plan to use Sikaflex, either 221 or 521. Which is the better? Does it matter? (the 221 seems to be cheaper...). What's the difference between the two? I need to know asap as we're away on our jollies soon and I want to get the work done before then. Please help!
Sean

521 is non yellowing & uv resistant, hence higher price. 512 is good as well. All much of a muchness for your purposes. They are all polyurethane based sealant/adhesives. When buying, check sell by date as shelf life is short. Don't buy cheap offers past sell by date as the stuff becomes unusable quite quickly.

The 221 is Sika's standard one part polyurethane adhesive sealant.

The 521 is the hybrid version of the 221 containing extra resistance to UV breakdown.

Both set when exposed to moisture in the air, in hot dry weather it may be an idea to give a misting of water to the join. Setting times varies between 10 minutes and just over an hour

Reading the data sheet I would not bother using it for caravans - longer cure time and more expensive than Sikaflex or Tigerseal
