I have a swift royal motorhome with an electrolux 3 way fridge which just isnt getting cold enough, the freezer compartment is freezing but the main part of the fridge is barely cool, the van is level and the same problem occurs with both gas and mains electric, I have seen suggestions about inverting the fridge for 24 hrs and I am thinking of trying that. Has anyone got any suggestion please?

Hope it is as simple mine was. When you close the door ,make sure the door is not twisted, and it is sealed all round.Close the door and press top and bottom on the handle side, if you get any movement ,then it's not closing properly. Sounds daft but that's what mine was.A careful twist and it was OK

If the temperatures where you have been using it have been as high as in Essex last couple of days, 30deg, the fridge won't get that cold. Absorbtion fridges only cool around 18deg below ambient so if your van is hot inside fridge will struggle in this weather.

The older fridges get, the worse, as the door seal degrades. Taking it out & inverting it for a hr might help but if fridge is ok when weather is cooler than of late, its just the weather.

take into consideration the outside temperature as these 3 way fridges dont like it too hot.

i tried mine for the first time yesterday on the caravan i purchased and it took a good 2 hours for the freezer part to eventually drop to -10 but it did fluctuate throughout the day from -10 when it first came on and varied to about -4 and the fridge itself was cold but not cold cold.

with a lot of people, they get mistaken cus they think these 3 way fridges work the same as a normal house fridge, which they dont.

if you still think its not right tho, try turning it upside down like someone told me. but luickily for me mines working ok!

best of luck.
