My awning light cover is broken into 4 pieces though it does jigsaw back together and hold in place. But as you can imagine it's not ideal - where on earth would I beging to look for a replacement?
(Our ABI Jubilee is the thick end of 20 year old so it's not like I can just order a replacement.)
It is unlikely that you need to replace exactly like for like. Just find the screws, remove the old 'base' (disconnection should be easy) and get a new one that is a near match.
I was worried to fit one which had different screw points to the original one as I wasn't sure about putting new screw holes in. Should the construction around this area be able to simply take new screws being screwed in?
Ta Jeanette - that would nearly be spot on but its nearly half the width so it wouldn't quite cover the grotty bits underneath where the original one was, pity. Good price too!
Might do Michael - as long as I'm ok screwing it in to the side of van
I've done the sloppy thing and glued the plastic where it was cracked and replaced the original - I'm not proud
Just found your fitting skylight post Michael - really good pics. Without wishing to repeat my above half a***d effort. Can I replace just the arms on the sklyight as mine have broken? (the rest of the skylight is fine you see)

post a pic, is it one of those big round ones? you can get repacement covers for those, and those in micheals picture, so unless the inside is shot, just get a new cover.
I got a replacement for my '88 when she was 20 just from a local caravan dealer, im sure you will find one fairly easily.
if you do go for a new one, just use a bit of mastic over the screw holes to stop water getting in where it shouldnt...
ahh, you mean sky light, not awning light, thats were I was getting confused.
if its just the spring loaded arms, you can get replacements, I got one for my 88, and bolted it on though the plastic dome, making sure it well sealed, good an new, I will have a look this eve and see if I can find where I got the parts form.
Sorry! How embarassing - I have been trying to sort both out and I've just got muddled up and in my confusion dragged the subject of sky light into this . I'm losing it at 38 - I really am!
I would however like to find out if I can replace these arms as it would save me replacing the whole thing.
