any advice . my little boy and girl both had an accident on our caravan seats i have just bought some upholstery cleaner to try out but just wondering if any of you have any advice before i start
thanks so much my hubby reckons that the outer fabric has a backing on it so it has not gone through to the foam but i dont want to remove it as i know i will ruin it . i think i will look into something that will neutralize the odour and make the kids sleep on the laminate floor!!!
Not much use to you now , but I always put plastic backed picnic rugs over the cushions under the sleeping bags when the grandkids are with us in case of any accidents.
Try a capful of lenor or comfort mixed with water in a spray bottle to help get rid of the smell.
You can buy a large tuck-in type sheet called a Kylee sheet, which is specially designed to deal with incontinence and will absorb well enough to protect from even adult accidents. they are aproximately 1mtr wide by 1.5 mtr deep plus the tuck-ins which are made from plain material. they are available from most disability shops and large chemists. They are washable and designed to be quick drying too.

Could you sponge it down with bio washing powder water? rinse and use vinegar or that simple solution stuff.
Can you get your hands on a wet and dry hoover if the covers dont come off? Then leave to air as long as possible.
Our little girl had an acident a couple of years ago (she was 2) i used a damp sponge with a little washing powder added to clean area first and when it was dry we sprayed with fabreeze - worked wonders! After that we used a single waterproof materess protector sheet under her sleeping bag.

Try a product called Simple Solution from Pets at home, brilliant stuff, lifts any stain, and gets rid of smells.
Another ecommendation for this product ... and it smells really nice too! Used it for a couple of years on carpets etc when our old dog became incontinent.
Have also used Febreze on a mattress when my toddler had an accident and it was brilliant too.
