We are in the middle of repairing our damp van - see other post (damp, damp & more damp). We have stripped the wall bare back to the aluminum shell. We are now ready to stick the new polystyrene back on, but with what? Alot of the no nails glue is not suitable for polystyrene! Any suggestions would be great. Hubby cant crack on until we find out!! lol
Do you just splosh bits of adhesive on or spread all over? Only hubby has just used one whole tube sreading the area with it so its fully covered! I am thinking this is gonna be costly doing it this way!!
Hi
I used the solvent free and it was crap. It requires one surface to be porous and you don't have a true porous surface. I had to redo mine with sticks like sh*t which it did. I used this as advised ny evostick technical department I later found out that a main dealer repair center also use the sticks like sh*t. When doing damp repairs a little dearer at 6 pound a tube but worth it
I used Sikaflek 512 as this in how they are done from new, but the manufacturers may use another PU addeisive
------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
Pete.
