When we first got our caravan we had the following problems with our aerial/tv :
1. There was a dodgy connection outside between the Aerial and the wire going into the caravan. We replaced the co-axial plug and squirted a load of silicon electrical stuff in it to make it water tight. Then wrapped it in stretchy waterproof tape.
2. When we plugged the TV in it kept saying No signal. We discovered the Auto Tune function on the TV ! .
3. We tried to pick up a digital signal but couldn't. We discovered the Input function on the TV (ie Choose Analogue or Digital depending on strength of signal. Go to this website to obtain this info and the direction of the signal. Type in Post Code : Aerial Direction )
4. We moved the TV to the other TV point on the central chest of drawers. It took us ages to realise that the second fly lead coming from the booster had to be used ! Also the booster must be on ie the 12v system must be functioning.
Ours is a directional status-like aerial (forgotten which one) ie one that you can move about from inside the caravan locker. We use a compass to line it up using the direction from the website above.
Last week we were in Somerset and using our Freeview TV we had a fantastic digital picture.
Hope this helps, Shirley.
Just got the manual out and we have a Teleco Teleplus ! It's Fab !
