Providing that you buy the correct in-line filter to suit your pipework it is just a case of cut the pipe add the filter and done.
Two types of pipework are used in caravans:
1. Reinforced flexible - you will need jubilee clips for this, the filter will come with barbed nipples on each end to help keep the pipe in place.
2. Semi rigid - this is 12 mm diameter pipe and joins using push-fit fittings, the filter should come with the fittings on each end buty may only have smooth 12 nipples - in which case you would need 2 straight push-fit connectors.
To fit find the place where you want to put the filter (just after the inlet, before the heater for complete filtering) cut the pipe and fit on the filter, you may want to leave the pipework at it's original length, if you can, just in case you decide you no longer want a filter.
