Hi all,

Anyone any ideas how to get tar off the frontof the caravan? We drove past roadworks and although we didn't see it - there must have been tar spraying about as now we have loads of tar spots - don't want to scrape it in case it damages the van , but just washing it hasn't got it off!!

Use tar remover from a car accessory shop. Safe to use and with the advantage that it will also remove stubborn black streaks.

try using a cloth soaked in diesel, to loosen the tar .then wash it off with a car shampoo

Jizer degreaser will get rid of it and will leave a shiney finish but will need a good polish afterwards.

White spirit works fine, most people have some in shed/garage! Got the tar off our car and van.Does not hurt paint.
