I did have a bit of trouble with mine but it turned out to be just the LED unit that was dead, a new one fixed it.
The blurb seems to suggest that it cannot be used, ei that the brakes are stuck on permanently. To be able to get it moved to the repairers they tell you to disconnect it from underneath, not an easy task.
