Hi

Don't suppose you have a photo we can look at? Alternatively, can you see any writing. Usually the two most important figures are MIRO (Mass in Running Order) which tells you the weight of the caravan with no additional stuff in (like wastemasters, water carriers and all your other bits and pieces); and MTPLM (Maximum Technically Permissablw Laden Mass) which is the heaviest your van can be, fully loaded and ready for the off.

MTPLM - MIRO = How much stuff you can put in your van.

Some brochures split this resulting figure up into essential items (gas, wastemaster etc) and personal items (clothes etc)

I also assume that your dots in between the figures should be commas i.e. 1,750kg not 1.75kg? I know the europeans in their infinite wisdom tend to use dots instead but we are in blighty after all. lol

Not sure why you have 3 figures in this case though so a photo or more words might help.

Regards

Paul

MTPLM 900kg

MIRO 690kg

Noseweight 75kg

Does that sound about right?

Spot on and what is more for a Marauder 380/2 it sounds about right.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

thank you all for your help, that’s a relief, I thought the 690kg was the payload, added to the van weight of 900kg, total weight 1590kg, to much weight for the car to pull, therefore the tyres would be under ratted. although 1 tyre wall is cracked and will be replaced, all 3 wheel rims are different, 2 needs a repaint, so it leaves 1 155/70 tyre, and what was the new spare a 165/70 tyre (with new rim).
I am unable to find a match to the new rim, so am going to buy 3 new rims and possible 3 new tyres, this is subject to whether I either go for 155's or the 165's if I match the 165, it will cost about 2 x £65, so I am thinking going for all 3 at the cost of £45, and put the new spare wheel up for auction on ebay.
Once again thank you all. graham

Hi, just a thought to jog your memory, caravan tyres, best to use comercial tyre 6ply min, as it carries the similar load as car, only on two wheels, also caravan tyres recomended to be changed every 5yearsregardless of tread.

If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
