I have a whale 881 water pump, and the problem is the flow to the taps is quite slow and the pump 'pulses', rather than having a continuous flow. Can anyone tell me what the problem is, and is there a fix
We are just new to touring bought a van and have been learning the hard way. We had the same problem It wasnt the pump it was our battery! Not enough charge to keep the pump going just a little trickle. If you find it is the pump then dicountmotoring.co.uk sell them for 23.99. Good luck!
I wonder if this is a local pressure problem on site or is this problem at all sites? I suspect a mis-set pressure switch in your water feed which is 'pulsing' when water drawn due to inadequate pressure.
Switch can be altered to compensate, but you can replace with a completely automatic pressure switch that will self-regulate to suit the site.
as said a low battery will give this problem.i would be more inclined to look at the pressure switch if a pressurized system.to check see if you have wires going to the taps.if no wires it is a pressurized system.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

You know, it dawned on me while driving back from The Lakes today that I'd probably led you up the garden path, because of course the site pressure doesn't effect your pump operation - I do apologise. (I've been trying to sort a weird problem for a friend whose re-sited his static this weekend and has an odd water supply problem).
