hi all this is my first post here so go easy on me. i bought an older swift chalanger 3 months ago but i dont know what model of challanger it is, i was told by the last owner that it was around 1992/93 its 4/5 berth about 20/22 foot long and on twin axel, it has two seprate spoilers on the rear section of the roof, i will try get a pic of it tomorow, also anybody know were i might find the chassie plate
Hello, The chassis plate is usually on the front A frame and can sometimes be hidden under the fibreglass cover. If the challenger is 92-93 it should be CRIS registered and have the VIN No. etched into all the windows. Swifts often used a numerical system in naming their 'vans like 415 for a 4 berth 15 foot or later using metric 515 was for a 5.1 mtr 5 berth.
Sorry I cant be more help, but there are plenty of very knowledgeable people on here who I'm sure will be along to help.
Regards
David
Sounds interesting as you describe it - can't wait to see the pic.
The plate could be anywhere on the caravan - by the door, over the door inside, on the A frame, by the wheel arch...
Unfortunately UK manufacturers rarely put them in the same place for different models.
All UK caravans since 1992 should be Cris registered so if yours is younger than this the chassis number is usually etched in the corner of each window
