HI, I HAVE A CARVER CASCADE RAPIDE WATER HEATER THAT RUNS ON GAS OR ELECTRIC. MY PROBLEM IS THAT WHEN ON ELECTRIC THE WATER JUST GETS HOTTER AND HOTTER. CAN ANYONE SUGGEST THE REASON FOR THIS . THE HANDBOOK SAYS IT SHOULD NOT GET ABOVE 70 DEGREES. MANY THANKS KEITH

it should only get to 70 then turn off and then on again when the temperature goes down.there will be some form of thermostat to control this.ask gary

yes it has a 'normal' stat to switch it off and on at 65C or so and then an over heat stat to catch it and switch it of at 90C before damage is done, thos then requires you to press a red button to reset it.

Fairly common for the normal stat to fail so require replacement and I have them in stock

Sorry about this but Gary as always is very busy, landline is sadly not answered most of the time and at the moment I cannot answer emails for some reason? I can download and read them but can't send?!
