We have just fitted a new whale water inlet socket with integrated pressure switch, the reason for fitting this is the external pump kept working after the taps were turned off, the pump is still pumping all the time and pumping water out of the back of the socket, this is the second socket we have fitted and still have the problem. I have disconnected all the pipework in the van and now got the pump running to one tap, does anyone have any ideas?

check the pipe has not come off inside the white fitting at the other end of the pump.i had this once.remove two screws and push pipe back on.not obvious when fitted.

How are you wiring the socket, if I remember correctly it should be to the left hand big terminal and the centre small terminal, wiring to the two (big) outside terminals will make the pump run constantly

Yay!! Don't know what we did but it is working at the moment. Now we can go away next week and try our new (to us) caravan out.
