This problem is starting to get to me: The caravan Lunar Lexon 640RS twin axle ramped one side to level, spot on fore and aft and across the beam, all steadies lowered standing on hardwood. Get in the van walk about and the whole thing wobbles the tv is virtually levitating check the rear steadies, off the ground lower again get in walk about the same happens. After a couple of days no more adjustment is required on the back end but you guessed it the whole van has turned into a gigantic jelly anybody have any answers please.
Soft ground settling under weight of van at the wheels and steadies would be my guess. An additional turn or two of the steadies is almost always required after a day or so, I find, and on soft ground the problem's worse. And no caravan's going to be rock solid.

Agree with Viggo. Were you on grass? Some sites have such soft turf that some part of the van will sink. Some sites have grasscell blocks for the hard standing and I have found that some are not quite long enough for the van so that two steadies are on the block and the others are on the grass. Much firmer landing on a hard standing.
When you have levelled "for and aft and across the beam" do you check the level as you put the steadies are down? Too little a turn at one end can raise the other leading to wobble. I tend to keep the spirit level in place and check that it has not moved as I put the steadies down. I start at the rear steadies (no reason, just do) and check that we are still level and then the front steadies.

Ive a twin and the only time i get shaking is on pebbles not on grass or whin dust,or when the wife who is flat footied walks in the van .I remember seeing in a caravan book some sort of ties that go from one steady to the other this was supposed to stop shaking and wobbling..
"when the wife who is flat footied walks in the van"
Now theres a thing. We get a wobble when the wife walks to the bathroom, but not when I do. I have often told the wife that she has a caravan deportment problem but she denies it. Wonder if it's a woman thing?

On soft grass I always put the van wheels on a plank of wood either side then the ramps if needed this stops the van sinking spreads the van weight. I use 3 x 3 blocks under the steadys and adjust as needed. This also helps when the time comes to tow off as the van has not sunk down.
