Hi can anyone help my fridge is not lighting up and not sure where the fuse is for fridge. Does anyone have fuse box diagram for abi award daystar please
Thanks BABS
------------- it aint over till the lids nailed down
the fuses have nothing to do with the gas side not lighting up, that is done by a push clicker, are you sure your gas is turned on? and your holding the button pressed in long enough for it to stay on
Speaking of fridges. I recently bought this van and the fridge doesn't come on when I hook up to the aux connector and start the car. Switched from caravan to car on the console and checked the fuses, all ok. What am I missing?
your missing nothing, you wont see any change, because the revs on your car need to be above 1500 before the fridge would come on, this is so that the fridge doesnt drain your car battery if you stopped en route
Thank you marg6 and Tina. I'll try revving the car engine tomorrow with my partner watching the fridge light to see if it comes on. I'll post the result. As for the car wiring to run the fridge, all I know is that there is a wire in the aux plug that's listed as 'Fridge', so I assume it should run the fridge. Thanks for the input folks. Watch this space.
The plug may be wired for a fridge but has the corresponding pin in the car socket been wired?
Have you checked that the wiring in the plug is in good condition?
Hello Rob. Had already replaced the plug as the old one was badly oxidized. Wiring in the car socket is ok as far as I can tell. When hooked up and engine running, should the caravan reverse lights work? 'Cos they don't. Wondering if the grey aux cable on the van is completely dead. Anyone know a way to test it?
Trace the grey cable from where it comes in to the caravan to the connector block. Plug the caravan in to the car and having started the engine check that each connection becomes live at the correct time.
If you can get 12volts at the connector block then the cable is ok, if not then check the socket on the car.
