Hi all
Got back from a great week away in Holmsley, New Forest on Saturday. On journey home however, started to have a few electrical woes, and wondering whether it might be something simple before we start spending money!
Basically we were finding that when the brakes were applied when hitched up, the dash lights on the towcar (2010 Hyundai Santa Fe) were flickering, especially the climate control panel strangely. As the journey progressed, I noticed that the side lights on the van dimmed or even went out as the brakes were applied, although the brake lights and indicators were working on the van.
It was a wet journey through some torrential downpours. Van is a 2006 Swift Charisma 590. Car is only 9 months old and towbar only been on 6 months. Could this be just an earthing problem, and if so, where's best to look?
12n plugs etc all look OK, no major corrosion.
Many thanks in anticipation of any suggestions!
Andy
