Firstly the original control panel for the 3010 is not the easiest to understand. There is however a version of the later colour panel that is compatible with the 3010, which is far easier to understand, and a worthwhile upgrade.
Next, unless the 12v battery back up has been added, you will have to reset the clock whenever the van has been powered down. If the time is out, the system may be trying to maintain a night time temp, which tends to be around 15 or 16 C.
The 3010 has 1 kw and 2 kw settings on electricity and 2 kw does take quite a time to heat the van through. Again, there is an upgrade pcb that will give a 3kw setting.
Check the pump is running by listening or putting a hand on the reservoir tank. Then check the panel settings thoroughly
Just wondered how your heating going now!!??
I’ve got a 2012 fixed bed Bailey with Alde heating!
Works fine at mo and am using in garden all the time.
Decided to swap gas pigtails on van for longer 5metre tail attached to 47kg bottle outside!
Got a smell of gas now (woke me up today) so will have to do some checks on that!
Are pressures with 6-13 and 47kg bottles the same?
Not doing any damage am I??
Issue with a 47kg bottle could be that the gas outlet on top of the bottle is higher than the bulkhead regulator on the caravan. I think there was an issue with oil residue in the bottle getting into regulator. Instructions with my caravan state specifically that bottle outlet should not be higher than the bulkhead regulator.
I wasn't even aware that it is possible to get a 5m pigtail for a unregulated secion of pipe between the bottle at full pressure and the bulkhead regulator. You havn't got a regulator on the bottle as well as the bulkhead one have you?

Hi Billy!
Cheers ol chap!!
Never thought of that!
Ironically im using 13kg in the van too & got a feeling - OUTLET on 13kg COULD be higher than the regular too!!
The original 6 kg wasn’t lasting so used the 13kg but then I thought — I’ll fill and use - buy a 5metre hose and use a 47kg that I had kicking about!!
Anything is feasible and although mechanically landed, there is more to this gas stuff than meets the eye eh!!
I WELCOME yours and ANYBODY'S advice Sir!
I’ve taken the 47kg off now, put the shorter pigtail back on and will check height of 13kg in the van!
I’m only using the regulator on the van- there is non on the bottle, as it would be as per normal.
What YOU say tho Billy makes sense!!
Smell of gas in van this morning was awful!!
Hope ive not hurt the system!!
Cheers Billy.
Kind regards!!
(Everybody in the know can BERATE me if they wish!!)
It’s justified I’m sure.
I’m in Essex Gary. We usually go down the 303 to Cornwall which we will be doing later this yr. There was a fair bit about this on this forum some years ago. Bulkhead regulators on some quite new caravans were failing & it was concluded that it was oil residue in the gas bottle getting into the regulator & ruining it.
It was concluded that the solution was always to ensure bottle outlet was below regulator level to prevent the oil residue entering the regulator. Caravan manufactures have obviously taken this onboard it mentions this in the instruction manual on mine.
The worst you might have done is damage the regulator but replacement is not difficult or expensive if you can use hand tools. If everything is now working as normal though you should be ok.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Being a new van the regulator seems to have held up and all seems to be running ok now but I will put these 13kg bottles outside now and use that long tail I had on that 47!
Yes!!

I’m very very grateful.
Plenty of room for an overnight with your van too, if need be.
Ok!
You take care!
And!
If I’m ever gonna try and blow myself up again, I’ll get in touch with you first - ok.
