Well thanks for all the replies to my original post, however............ I've tried contacting various lock smiths, no joy, I've contacted Bailey and a couple of Bailey dealers, no joy, I've contacted various key suppliers, no joy........ I've tried raking / picking the lock, I've tried to pop the lock, as advised by a Bailey dealer and I've tried to force the lock using screwdivers and pliers and I have only succeeded in breaking off the silver metal cover.... and guess what......................... no joy, I'm going to try and drill the lock out........... any more suggestion grate fully accepted Stev
This might be a wee bit dodgy but if you could put a thin bar about 2inch broad between the door and door frame you might be able to force the door back just enough to free the lock..as ive said you would have to be carefull of other damage..just a thot..be carefull.
Many Thanks again........ Its not a fixed bed, so no entry there, the hinges cannot be removed, I'll try and get the Veecam barrel removal tool...... tell you what tho, ....... I'm changing all the yale locks on the house and fitting veecams, ps I'm a HGV mech. and "usually" I can gain entry to most vehicles........... ahh well the story goes on Steve
Do what I said in my reply to your original post. Just force twist the door handle in the normal direction of opening to overcome the lock. It will open. You can then replace the handle assembly.
It will work I've done it myself after being told 'how to' by a dealer after having keys stolen.
Just talked to a security expert who works for a bailiff, in other words he breaks into property under the protection of the law. I asked how he would get into a caravan to reposes anything in it, doing the least damage. He said more than likely take out a window.Could this be the answer?

Force the door handle as described above or angle grinder / Dremel through the hinge pins. Whichever is cheaper to replace.
If you are still trying to get at the original barrel for a locksmith to try making a key from scratch perhaps you could try the grinder / Dremel approach on one of the external lockers? Replacement hinges are readily available.

if i was doing it i would carefully drill out the lock barrel and pick away as you are going, soon you would be able to unlock with a screwdriver.after this just buy a new barrel and keys to fit.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
I will try again this weekend, I have tried to force the lock with a large flat screwdiver and molegrips, I am impressed the strength of the lock!!!!, what hacks me off is you should (?) be able to ring a dealer and order the key with the key no. supplied on the key........ on HGV's the keys have a key no. contact dealer, new key supplied in 24hrs, contacted local dealer to me, asked for workshop, explained problem I was then put back to the switch board and then to the sales dept. who basiclly were of no help, I think they want me to drag my van there so they can change all the locks.......
