i have just bought a second hand caravan and took it for a test run this weekend every thing was o.k. but after about 24hrs the fridge seemed to stop working i changed it to work on the gas and it started to get cold again i have just read that it could be 240 heating element, wondered if anyone else had this problem or can anybody recommend a decent fridge engineer in the watford area as i haven't got the time to sort it out my self, thanks in advance.

Hi  topdogg, My Fridge has an additional AC switch with fuse (near fridge ), your could have same, If  getting the engineer out, should get him to do full check of your van,

If you bought it from a dealer take it back and get the dealer to look at it. Sale of Goods Act and all that.

unfortunately bought it privately i'm hoping won't be to big a problem, i'll check if it has it's own fuse first but if no joy i've found a place just down the road from me that are going to have look so fingers crossed,they also quoted me 150+vat for service so probably get that done same time, thanks chaps.
