I have an Elddis crusader Superstorm 2000 which we have owned from new and after our 1st weekend away last week I found that the electric switch side of the heater/fire was not working properly. When you sline the main switch I get only some lights on and then all lights on and very little heat from the electric heater side. Could anyone please tell me if I can get the current switch looked at and repaired or would it be better to replace the whole thing. This is probably the best caravan we have ever owned loads of room and very good for winter touring, The Gas side of the heater works great the other problem seems that when i put the blown air on the bathroom gets very warm and the bottom of the caravan has look warm air in it.
The slide switch is a weakness in this otherwise superb fire, Carver though finished in 99 and soon after it's launch so nothing was done to improve it.
For the same reason no new spares are available, however I fix and upgrade them so you should not get the problem again, least I've never had one back!
As for the miss match of heating, there is a slider to adjust the air flow but it's odd in how it works?
The ducting for the main flow must be attached to the right hand outlet behind the fire, this can then receive 75% of the air with slider set fully to the left, the most the left hand side can receive is 50% with the slider set fully to the right.
Could you please get intouch ia my e-mail so we can arrange for me to send you the switch and see what you think. Also let me know the approx cost my E-mail is j.seymour116 at btinternet.com
The control switch/slider unit for my Carver Fanmaster Turbo 5500 is faulty. When the switch is at 'off'' the fan somtimes comes on. Also, some of the led's do not work.
I have tried obtaining spares, without success. I believe there is someone who repairs these?
