Hope someone can give me some advise regarding this:

Since we have had our Swift Charisma 560 (2005) we always heated the hot water by the gas, until a friend showed us we could also do it by the electric.

We have only used it by electric once,  Now when we come to use it this way it doesnt work, it trips all the electrics.

Could this be something simple to resolve ourselves by buying a new part or should we take it in somewhere.  Trying to watch the £'s.

Any advice please.

Yes everything was drained down.

We were shown how it worked off the electric and it worked fine, it was on the next caravan trip that it didnt work.

as a rule the element has failed when it trips out each time you try to use it.

should we take it in somewhere.  Trying to watch the £'s.

may be best in the long run.

I had the same problem with mine, changing the element worked. This was done under warranty but I priced up the element which was about £60.
