Hello!  Just joined the forums and hoping someone can help.  I'm having a problem with Left Hand Indicator not working when hitched up to car.  Done the usual checking of bulb and connections all the way back to the car but so far no joy.  Understand from the retailer that there are fuses in caravan that relate to the direction indicators but they are not the ones in the main PDU.  Does anyone know where they may be located?  Caravan is a 2010 Lunar Stellar. Any help or ideas would be most appreciated...

On my old 2004 Lunar lexon up the very front of the van the cables came in under the front right hand seat there was a fuse box with fuses for the running lights, indicators, brake lights.  So I think if you lift you seat cushions you should see the fuse box.  I hope this helps you out.

I do the towing so it must be my turn to wash the van and clean the inside!!!

I should have added where the 12s/12n cables come inside the van.

No joy in finding the fuses - got 13 pin plug rather than 12s/12n and that single cable is routed outside the van and only comes in by the PDU, halfway down the van on the offside.  Can't see what happens at that point without taking the van apart but cable then seems to go back out of the van at the same point and down to the back where it disappears back in presumeably to feed the two back light panels.  Again no way of seeing if there are any fuses without ripping the van apart!  No obvious cable damage and issue still being investigated by the Towbar fitter so if he concludes it is the van and not the car it's back to the retailer.  Many thanks for your suggestion anyway.

I don't think there are fuses to the road lights, if you have 1 indicator not working, first check bulb is ok & wiring inside light unit is ok, then dismantle plug at car end to check there is no wire off. Unless you have checked car on another trailer check car socket as well.

I had a similar problem to this, I managed to prove the caravan was not at fault by applying a 12v power feed direct to the caravan plug.

It turned out to be the relay in the car. When you checked the car socket with a volt meter, it showed power but this was not under load, when the caravan plug was inserted the power at the car socket disappeared.

I had spent hours blaiming our caravan wiring.

Have now established that it isn't the caravan and thought the towbar fitter had 'cracked' it by checking the wiring on the towbar socket, fitting a new relay on the car and putting an extra earth on the relay...however...took the van out this weekend and all was well until about 30 mins into the journey when the left hand indicator and beep packed in again!  Continued with journey and had intermittant working and not working.  On journey back today had same intermittant performance.  Finally parking up we were back where we started, left hand indicator not working, no beep but all other lights and right hand indicator working OK!  Back to the towbar fitter again tomorow!!  Can only assume it is a loose wire somewhere in the car or something else 'electrical' which is beyond me.  Will advise towbar fitter of above suggestions and report back!!
