It was bad enough to be told that the floor had delaminated and there was damp in battery locker but now after fixing the delaminating the floor has split and there is damp in the ceiling.
Its two and a half years old and the caravan dealer is now arguing with Lunar that it should be returned to the factory. Looks like we are going to miss another holiday !!
You have my sympathies Debbie, when you have invested so much money you expect more don't you?
I thought owning a new caravan would be lovely but, I felt stressed from the off.
With a shoddy hand over and issues from the start, I went from excitement to dissapointment very quickly.
It still goes on, the last year it has had a new back and a new front panel. I just wonder what the next service will throw up.
Never seemed to have these problems with the old ones, they very rarely had to have anything done to them.
Hope you can get it done without a lot of trouble.
In my experience it never comes back in the condition I expect it to be in, they never take as much care as you would yourselves, but if you complain they just do something else and make it worse. i.e when I told them that the trim on the awning rail was sticking out too far
they took it off and belted the awning rail with a metal hammer. When you say anything they just say we have been repairing caravans for ...etc etc
thanks for all your replies and support and advice. We have just had confirmation today that the van is going back to Lunar in 2 weeks time for them to fix the floor but not the ceiling which will still be repaired by the caravan service centre we use when it is returned. I can't believe its going back to the factory and they won't do ALL the repairs. Beginning to think we should have kept our tent !!
